Three questions to the project team
What was the particular challenge of the project from a UX point of view?
The core UX challenge was turning a highly fragmented product ecosystem into a single, coherent experience without losing the distinct value of each product. Users faced multiple entry points, inconsistent information hierarchies, and different interaction patterns across accounts, cards, investments and loans. We designed a unified information architecture and a modular homepage that surfaces the right data at the right time, reduces cognitive load, preserves discoverability for less frequent tasks, and meets performance, security and regulatory constraints.
What was your personal highlight in the development process? Was there an aha!-moment, was there a low point?
Highlight / Aha!: In an early usability test a user rearranged prototype modules to create a focused “mini dashboard” for investments and upcoming payments. That simple action validated our modular approach and directly inspired the mini‑dashboard concept — small, composable units that deliver instant clarity. Low point: Integrating open banking and device verification exposed backend and compliance gaps that delayed prototypes. That period required intensive cross‑discipline collaboration, but ultimately produced a far more robust and secure solution.
Where do you see yourself and the project in the next five years?
In five years the app will have evolved from a feature set into a proactive financial platform: a privacy‑first, cross‑device financial coach that offers federated personalization, deeper open‑banking aggregation, and marketplace integrations for investments and services. The team will shift from one‑off redesigns to continuous orchestration of services, partnerships and responsible AI governance — scaling the “financial companion” promise into everyday financial decisions for millions.
